⚡ The Short Version
A gracenote strike stacks a G gracenote before an ordinary strike. Play a high G gracenote on the note, then follow it with the strike — I demonstrate it on D, B, and C.
The G gracenote strike on E is a favorite challenge. It's one of the harder ones to play cleanly, and mastering it really tests keeping the hands relaxed and the fingers close to the chanter.
Treat the beat placement like a doubling. The first gracenote of the movement lands right on the beat, the same rule that governs an ordinary doubling.
