🕊️ Slow Air Rhythm

No fixed time signature, a tempo that's tapped rather than marched, and the one tune type where the rhythm is allowed to breathe.

⚡ The Short Version

Slow airs don't have one rhythm — they borrow whatever time signature they're written in. A slow air can be in 2/4, 3/4, 6/8, 9/8, or almost anything else. The constants are the slow tempo and the fact that you tap your foot or stand in place — you never march to a slow air.
