Swagger

The Short Version

A Six-Parted Jig That Gets Progressively Harder Swagger starts out simple in the first part, but each successive part introduces new, unexpected turns — culminating in a lot of open, uncut strikes in the third part that take real control.
Keep the C-A-C Combination Open, Not Cut A C-A-C combination in the second part looks like a tachum, but pipers used to cutting that C in reels, marches, and strathspeys need to resist the habit here — keep it wide open instead.
Control First, Speed Second — With a Tempo Progression My golden rule for tricky passages: get them slow, clean, and consistent first, then use a metronome tempo progression to build speed a few beats per minute at a time.
