Bagpipe Essentials Collection #24: Low G Doublings
⚡ The Short Version
The low G doubling is rare in tunes, but easy to pick up once the pattern is familiar. It's the same high G gracenote and D gracenote pattern as the other bottom-hand doublings, just played on low G.
Small gracenotes with a little separation are what keep it clear and unсrushed. Even when playing slow, keep the gracenotes tiny and just separate them out — don't let slow practice turn into big, sloppy gracenotes.
It builds directly on the C, B, and low A doublings already covered. Once those are solid, the low G doubling is mostly a matter of applying the same movement to a new theme note.
