⚡ The Short Version
The low A doubling is rare, because other embellishments usually take its place. The taorluath, grip, and especially the birl are the more common choices on low A, so the low A doubling doesn't show up as often.
It follows the same G-then-D gracenote pattern as the C and B doublings. A G gracenote and a D gracenote, just played on low A instead.
Small gracenotes and a little finger separation are still the goal. Keep the fingers in close to the chanter, with a bit of space between the gracenotes for clarity.
