Bagpipe Essentials Collection #22: B Doublings

The Short Version

The B doubling is a G gracenote on B followed by a D gracenote on B. It shares the same two-gracenote pattern as the other bottom-hand doublings — C, low A, and low G — only the theme note changes.
Small, crisp gracenotes with a little separation are non-negotiable. Never let the gracenotes get big — keep them precise and clean-sounding at every speed.
The first gracenote is always exactly on the beat, never ahead of it. Hold the note before the doubling for its full value, and only start the gracenote when the foot comes down or the metronome clicks.
