Bagpipe Essentials Collection #1: Introduction

The Short Version

The series covers the whole foundation. Chanter setup, hand position, the nine notes of the scale, the four most common gracenotes, and the combinations of gracenotes that build all of piping's embellishments.
There are 13 primary embellishments. Nine doublings — one for every note of the scale — plus four low-G-based movements: the grip, the taorluath, the D throw, and the birl.
It works for beginners and returning players alike. New pipers get a roadmap for getting started right; experienced players get a chance to refine their understanding and execution of these fundamentals.
