The Dry Flow desiccant system keeps drone reeds bone dry. Three silica-gel canisters — one per drone — sit between the bag and each drone reed, pulling moisture out of the air before it reaches the reed, while color-changing beads (orange to green) show you when they need attention.
Listen for the 'double tone' when reeding up a new drone. A properly matched drone reed strikes in on a first tone, then locks into a second tone with a distinct 'thunk' as you increase pressure — that's the sign the reed and drone are happy together.
New reeds need time to acclimatize before you touch them. A fresh Infinity Chanter reed straight out of the box will be dry and needs to sit in a Tone Protector to reach the right humidity before you adjust anything.
