Practice Chanter Workout Session — July 13, 2022

The Short Version

Lift before you drop. Almost every crossing noise comes from a finger landing before the others have raised. Reverse that order and the noise disappears.
Insert a false fingering to isolate a stubborn crossing noise. Add a deliberate in-between step between two troublesome notes, work it until it's clean, then fade the extra step back out.
Practice at three tempos. Work every drill dead slow, then medium, then full speed, the method I learned from Willie McCallum, so you find out what breaks under speed before it breaks in performance.
