I recently came across a fascinating article by one of the world's elite athletes, adventurers and coaches who explains in simple terms what I call the Power of Consistent Action. What separates the world-class athletes I know from the not world-class athletes (stripping out genetics for a minute) is that the world-class athletes have been training regularly for a long time. REGULARLY. As I read and re-read the article it dawned on me that many of the challenges athletes face are similar to what musicians face. How can we stay motivated towards our goals? How should we structure and organize our training routines? How do we keep ourselves on track with practicing when work, school, family, TV, snacking, and just about every other facet of "life" can seem to get in the way?
