Today's post features a new practice workout I've developed to help you make some big improvements in your piping fitness in just seven minutes per day. This new practice method is inspired by recent science in the field of learning and memory that suggests multiple short practice sessions are more efficient than the more typical "blocked" practice sessions. Also, you might have heard about the The Scientific 7-Minute Workout, which uses very short intervals (30 seconds) of high-intensity exercise with shorter intervals (10 seconds of rest). The workout is based on science and can deliver real results in a short amount of time. Here's what you'll need to get started: 1. Your practice chanter (or pipes). 2. A clock, stopwatch, or timer. Alternatively, you can use one of the many timers created for the Scientific 7-Minute Workout.
