I recently came across this great blog post, with some helpful reminders for staying focused and motivated to work towards achieving excellence. Author Erik Barker's blog has the tagline "I want to understand why we do what we do and use the answers to be awesome at life." Pretty cool concept, don't you think! Here are some of the highlights: In Malcolm Gladwell's excellent and popular book Outliers, he discusses the many factors that contribute to success including the much publicized notion that it takes 10,000 hours of deliberate practice to become world-class at almost anything.
