I've arrived in Scotland for my annual competition tour!   Over the next 4 weeks, I'll be posting some of my adventures as I travel around attending various competitions.  As I get photos and videos and recordings, I'll be posting them, too! As you might know, August is the month where many of the piping world's biggest and most important competitions take place.  The first big event is next Saturday, August 13 and it's the biggest of them all:  The World Pipe Band Championships.  I am a member of the six-time World Champion Simon Fraser University Pipe Band (I played with the band on three of those wins: 2001, 2008, 2009).  The band has also placed second 8 times, and third many more.  So, we'll be trying to regain the title this year.  The competition is fierce and players and spectators come from around the world for this huge event.  You can watch the competition ...
