Once you have selected a good pipe chanter reed that is efficient and vibrates properly and you have adjusted he reed to suit your desired strength, the next step is to get the chanter and reed tuned. Tuning a pipe chanter consists of two steps: Placing the reed in the chanter reed seat at the correct depth Tuning the individual notes by placing tape on the holes As you will see in the following video demonstration, as you tune your chanter you can use your ear as a guide (the old fashioned way) or you can use the assistance of on electronic tuner (easier, faster, more reliable).
