Prepping for Competition

Today, my chanter is pitch perfect. 1. I play between 7-8 minutes of songs (maybe a pio like Munroe's Salute). 2. I get my gauge out and plug it in. 3. I get my Cleartune app out. 4. I capture my A (475 or so) at the right pressure (36 water inches) 5. I play up the scale and make sure each note is played at the same pressure and get my tape out and start taping holes. 6. I tune up my drones. 7. I play. Then I wish I were at competition. But I have a week to go, and vastly different weather conditions. Hopefully, my Ross MC system won't let me down (I better cook my rocks later this week). Hopefully, I don't overplay the reed (I better fire up another chanter and reed for practicing). Hopefully, on the day, I remember my routine (let the pipes and reeds get used to ...
