When pipers struggle with sight reading tunes off the written page, it is usually rhythm that is the stumbling block. Here's a great tool for learning to read rhythms. Check out these exercises. Read the rhythms and clap them out. Then listen to the recording to see if you got it right. Remember to tap your foot to the beat and clap your hands to the rhythm. Random rhythm generator Start out with the quarter notes, then move on to eighth notes. Enjoy!
