Close up with the Scottish Small Pipes

Jan 25, 2012
Audio Recordings,Equipment & Gear,Tunes,Videos

I've enjoyed my small pipes as a different way to play, with a different sound but using all of the same skills I've practiced on my Highland pipes. Here's a few tunes you may have heard before and a third video with a  complete demonstration of the instrument: A2000 Poly Mouth-Blown Small Pipes by John Walsh. The weather was nice this morning, so I went out back and played a few tunes with the video camera rolling . . . Pay the Piper & The MacRaes of Achmore (with special appearance by BagpipeLessons.com Official Mascot, Zoe) Here's a close up look at the pipes Do you have small pipes? Electronic pipes? Other alternative instruments you can use for practice or performance or just playing for your own enjoyment?
