I recently had the exciting opportunity to perform two concerts with superstar Galician piper Carlos Núñez. Carlos has the distinction of being the only piper to sell over one million records. He's toured extensively with the Chieftans and become the most well-known ambassador for Galician music, what he calls "Celtic music with passion." Today's post describes my experience performing with Carlos and his band, and includes videos and sheet music for some Galician tunes. The first time I heard of Carlos Núñez was on a 1999 CD featuring the first track Jigs and Bulls. I was completely blown away by his virtuosity and energetic spirit!
